The Leadership for a Networked World (LNW) Program offers workshops for individuals and organizations to improve how they understand and respond to technology-enabled opportunities and reforms. Our programs focus on improving the ability to solve public problems through innovative applications of technology, especially in settings requiring cooperation among multiple independent organizations and jurisdictions.
The LNW workshops bring together leading-edge practitioners, the latest research and case studies from Harvard University, a world-class faculty, and a curriculum designed to yield creative solutions to real-world problems. By drawing on diverse perspectives, our workshops accelerate the dissemination of emerging lessons and provide practical guidance for participants to apply these lessons in the context of their own organizations.
Attendees at LNW workshops utilize online diagnostic tools to create baseline measures of the interests and experience level of the group. Based on these responses, faculty can adjust the curriculum accordingly, and each participant receives a personalized learning plan and further reading references. Workshop sessions rely in part on the case method pioneered at Harvard, with intense class discussions of real-world situations guided Harvard faculty and senior current practitioners. Through the shared experience of case analysis, participants learn techniques for problems and situations they face in their own work. After completing the course, participants may choose to remain part of the online community for the workshop, with updates based on stated areas of interest.
